Hexagonal and Conical Paper Bowls: Formats for Signature Dishes
Why hexagonal and conical bowls exist — six- and eight-sided formats for plating, conical bowls for noodles and rice, with model tables.
Round bowls are the default, but two other shapes solve specific problems: hexagonal bowls give straight edges that frame food and pack efficiently, and conical bowls deepen the profile for noodles, rice and street-food portions. BECOPACK produces both across a dozen model references. Specifications are indicative and subject to final written confirmation; this guide covers selection, not quotation.
Hexagonal bowls (BC-HB)
Model | Capacity | Top (mm) | Base (mm) | Height (mm) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
BC-HB-600 | 600 ml | 168 | 135 | 35 |
BC-HB-700 | 700 ml | 168 | 125 | 43 |
BC-HB-950 | 950 ml | 199 | 160 | 45 |
BC-HB-1050 | 1050 ml | 199 | 150 | 45 |
BC-HB-1300 | 1300 ml | 215 | 175 | 45 |
BC-HB-1500 | 1500 ml | 215 | 160 | 55 |
Hexagonal formats suit salads, grain bowls and signature dishes where a flat, faceted rim presents better than a round edge. Straight sides also pack tighter in a carton than round bowls of the same top diameter.
Conical bowls (BC-CB)
Model | Capacity | Top (mm) | Base (mm) | Height (mm) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
BC-CB-350 | 350 ml | 130×130 | 103×103 | 40 |
BC-CB-500 | 500 ml | 130×130 | 93×93 | 59 |
BC-CB-800 | 800 ml | 149×149 | 105×105 | 71 |
BC-CB-1000 | 1000 ml | 149×149 | 92×92 | 96 |
BC-CB-1600 | 1600 ml | 177×177 | 112×112 | 108 |
Conical bowls taper hard toward the base — the 1000 ml model stands 96 mm tall on a 92 mm base. That deep, tapered profile holds noodles and rice while keeping the footprint small on a tray.
Choosing between them
Pick hexagonal when the dish is served cold or plated and the straight rim is part of the presentation. Pick conical when the food is hot, wet or piled high and the depth does the work. Both formats take matching lids, and both are confirmed per model before production.
