How Paper Packaging Sample Approval Works: The Checklist That Prevents Rework

The six items BECOPACK reconfirms before production — model, dimensions, lid fit, material structure, printing artwork and carton specification — and how to approve samples without surprises.

Most paper packaging rework starts with a sample that was approved too quickly. BECOPACK's rule is written on the catalogue: before ordering, reconfirm the final model, dimensions, lid fit, material structure, printing artwork and carton specification in the quotation or approved sample. This guide turns that rule into a working checklist, so the sample you approve is the product you receive. Specifications are indicative and subject to final written confirmation.

The six-item approval checklist

Approval item
What to check on the sample
Model reference
The code matches the quotation — e.g. BC-SB-20, not "a soup bowl"
Dimensions
Top, base and height match the catalogue sheet for that model
Lid fit
The lid closes and holds on the exact container, not a similar one
Material structure
Board colour, coating and structure match what you ordered
Printing artwork
Colours, print area and registration match the approved artwork file
Carton specification
Pieces per carton and carton configuration match the quotation

How the approval round works

Approve in this order: first the model and dimensions, then the lid fit on the real container, then the material and print on the production-grade board. A dimension note marked "reconfirm against a sample" in the catalogue means that model is sample-first by design — do not skip the physical check. Changes made after sample approval restart the confirmation round, so consolidate your changes into one feedback list.

What to send with your sample request

Send the model reference, quantity, board and lid preference, artwork files and destination market with your first inquiry. Sample requests for standard catalogue models move fastest; custom sizes and prints add artwork and structure confirmation before the sample is made. Send yours to ben@becopack.com (WhatsApp +86 151 7861 3502) — or pick the models first from the catalogue.
