Custom printed packaging fails at the artwork stage more often than at any other. This guide walks through the four-step BECOPACK OEM process — choose the product model, confirm the lid and material, submit artwork, approve the sample and packing — and lists exactly what to prepare before you send an inquiry, so the first quotation round is already accurate. The four steps
1. Choose the product model. Start from the catalogue model reference — for example BC-SB-20 for a 580 ml soup bowl, not "a medium bowl". The model reference carries the capacity and dimensions that the quotation is built on.
2. Confirm the lid and material. Confirm the available paper, PET or PP lid for the selected container, and the board — white or kraft — with the coating option matched to your application. A hot, saucy product and a dry snack need different structures even on the same model.
3. Submit artwork. Confirm the print area, colour requirements and final artwork files. Prepare artwork in vector format with bleed, and state Pantone or CMYK values up front. Print review happens before production, not after.
4. Approve sample and packing. Finalize dimensions, carton packing and commercial details in writing against the approved sample. The approved sample is the contract: everything after it is measured against it.
What to include in your first inquiry
A complete inquiry shortens the first round from days to hours. Prepare:
- Target model references or the application and portion size;
- Board colour and coating preference, plus the lid type;
- Artwork files or print requirements;
- Estimated quantity and destination market;
- Packing preference (carton configuration) and any delivery window.
