Custom Printed Paper Soup Bowls: Logo, Colours and Ordering Steps

How custom printing works on paper soup bowls — print area, colour options, artwork requirements and the four steps from brief to approved sample.

Custom Printed Paper Soup Bowls: Logo, Colours and Ordering Steps
If you are sourcing paper soup bowls with your own logo, the questions are specific: what can be printed, on which board, in how many colours, and how long the artwork stage takes. This page answers those for the BECOPACK soup bowl range — eight models from 220 ml to 1000 ml, each available with custom printing. Specifications are indicative and subject to final written confirmation; pricing and MOQ are quoted per specification.

What can be printed on a paper soup bowl

A printed soup bowl has three surfaces you can use:
  • The side wall — the main brand area, viewable from every angle.
  • The lid — paper lid stock prints like the bowl wall; PET and PP lids are usually unprinted or supplied with a branded sticker.
  • The base — a small area, used for batch codes and compliance text rather than branding.
Print coverage is confirmed against the approved artwork. Full-wrap printing needs artwork that tolerates the taper of the bowl — a design that reads correctly flat will distort slightly when wrapped around a cone.

Small formats (220–450 ml) carry the brand at eye level on a counter; larger formats (580–1000 ml) show it on the table. If your range spans both, keep the logo position identical across models so the shelf looks deliberate.

Artwork requirements before you order

Prepare vector artwork with bleed, and state colour references up front — Pantone for brand colours, CMYK for photographic content. Print review happens before production, so a low-resolution raster logo will come back as a query rather than a rejected batch. Confirm the print area on the actual model: a 96 mm bowl and a 115 mm bowl have different usable widths.

From brief to approved sample

  1. Choose the model — quote the reference (e.g. BC-SB-20), not "the medium bowl".
  1. Confirm the lid and material — paper, PET or PP lid; white or kraft board; coating matched to the food.
  1. Submit artwork — vector with bleed, colours referenced.
  1. Approve the sample and packing — dimensions, print result and carton specification in writing.
Once the sample is approved, changes restart the confirmation round, so consolidate feedback into one list.
