Paper Bowls, Boxes & Trays: A Format Guide for Food Service Buyers
Five paper packaging families and the food formats they fit, with model references from the BECOPACK catalogue.

Choosing paper food packaging is a format decision before it is a price decision. This guide maps the five BECOPACK families — bowls, boxes, trays, clamshells, and cups & bags — to the food formats they serve, so importers, distributors and food-service operators can shortlist the right model before comparing suppliers. BECO manufactures this range in Hangzhou with matching lid options and catalogue model references for every container; specifications are indicative and subject to final written confirmation. This page is a selection guide, not a quotation: no pricing or order commitment is implied here, and final dimensions, lid fit and material structure must be confirmed against the approved sample.
The five families at a glance
- Bowls & octagonal trays cover soups, salads, rice and mixed meals in round, square, rectangular, hexagonal and conical formats, from 220 ml soup bowls to 2,110 ml square bowls.
- Lunch & takeout boxes serve meal delivery: window boxes, kraft boxes, multi-compartment boxes and divided takeout containers from 500 ml to 2,880 ml.
- Serving & snack trays handle sushi, snacks, fruit and bakery in rolled-rim, boat-shaped, flat and divided formats.
- Clamshells & burger boxes package burgers and single meals, including corrugated burger boxes with coating options matched to the application.
- Cups & bags complete the range with slanted cups, cup carriers and kraft carrier bags.
Choose by food format
Start from the food, not the catalogue. Soups, salads and rice with sauce need a bowl or a container with a reliable lid system; dry snacks and bakery items work in open trays; burgers need the height and venting of a clamshell; beverages need cups and carriers. For meal prep and divided meals, choose a divided tray or a multi-compartment box so components stay separated through delivery.
Confirm the lid system
A container is only as useful as its lid. The catalogue offers paper, PET and PP lid options matched per container. Confirm the lid fit for the exact model before ordering — a lid that fits one 750 ml format may not fit another with a different top dimension. If the container travels with liquid, test the closed lid, not just the bowl.
Read the model reference
Every model carries a reference code, capacity, top and base dimensions, and height in the catalogue. The model reference is the ordering language: quote the code, not a description like "the medium bowl". For divided formats, capacities are listed per compartment. Where a page notes a dimension must be reconfirmed against a sample, treat that model as sample-first.
From catalogue to confirmed order
The OEM path is four steps: choose the product model, confirm the lid and material, submit artwork, and approve the sample and packing. Before ordering, reconfirm the final model, dimensions, lid fit, material structure, printing artwork and carton specification in the quotation or approved sample. Browse the paper packaging families and match each format to your menu to start the shortlist.
